Haut-Médoc appellation winery, located halfway between the centre of Bordeaux and Margaux, or the northern suburbs of Bordeaux.
The first references to this Chateau date back to the 16th century. It is currently owned by the Cordier family, having been bought in 1999 by Lorraine Cordier, owner of Chateau Talbot in Saint-Julien. Since 2011, when Lorraine Cordier died, the family property has been taken over by her nieces Philippine and Marguerite and nephew Gustave, assisted by their parents Nancy Bignon-Cordier and Jean-Paul Bignon.
The soil is clay gravel. Château Sénéjac has 150 hectares of land, but the vineyards are only 41 hectares and the varieties planted are in the following proportions: 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. The vineyards are surrounded by 41 ha of forest.
Harvesting is carried out manually and mechanically. Fermentation in stainless steel vats for 20-30 days.
