It is located north of Margaux. Its neighbours are Chateau Margaux (to the south) and Chateau Lascombes (to the west). The first mention of the existence of the 'lands of the Noble de La Bégorce' is in 1332. It is now owned by the Perrodo family, who acquired it in 1989. This family also owns Château Marquis d'Alesme, the 'third' Grand Cru Classé in Margaux, since 2006.

It has been under the direction of Mrs. Marjolaine Maurice de Coninck for more than 12 years. She is also in charge of Château La Tour de Mons.

Vineyard area: 60 ha

Planted: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot

Ageing: 12-14 months in oak barrels, 40-50% of which are new

Production: 120-140 thousand bottles
