Château La Chenade is the second wine from Château Les Cruzelles in Lalande de Pomerol. It is owned by the Durantou family. In 2000 it was bought by the wine maestro of one of the best wineries in Pomerol - Chateau L'Eglise-Clinet - Mr Denis Durantou. Unfortunately, he died in May 2020. The wineries, now owned by the Durantou family, is run by his daughters.

Chateau Les Cruzelles is located in the commune of Neac and, thanks to its rich clay and gravel soil, the terroir of Chateau Les Cruzelles has much in common with Chateau L'Eglise Clinet in Pomerol (the two wineries are only about one kilometre apart). However, the soil at Les Cruzelles is more gravelly and less clay than at Chateau L'Eglise Clinet.

Vineyard area: 10,5 hectares

Varieties grown: 60% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc (which is probably the highest proportion of Cabernet Franc in the Lalande de Pomerol appellation)

Aged in oak barrels, 30% are new

Production: 9,000 bottles
