Detailní informace

Detailní popis produktu

There have been vineyards on the local land since the 17th century. In the 1960s, it was acquired by the Gasqueton family, which also owned Calon-Ségur in Saint-Estephe. In 1968, the land was divided up. One part was leased to André Lurton (who bought it in 1992 and renamed it Chateau Couhins-Lurton) and the other part was bought by the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA). The latter kept the original name, Chateau Couhins. The first wine was produced in 1981 but sold only to its employees. The wine from Chateau Couhins did not become public until 2007, after the new management had taken over.
